Executive summary

Grassroots spirit, professional execution.

Primal Live runs on a simple premise: unsigned artists deserve a real shot, and homeless charities deserve real support. They find grassroots artists, put them through seven weeks of development with industry pros, then unleash them on packed venues while audiences vote, with every ticket going to local homeless charities.

They needed a full marketing partner to launch it. We handled everything from brand development to the final ticket sale, juggling two audiences, three cities and one ambitious mission.

The challenge

Two audiences, three cities, one packed room needed.

A Battle of the Bands only works if the venue is packed. Empty seats kill the energy. Primal Live had to attract two completely different audiences at once: serious grassroots artists willing to commit to a seven-week programme, and paying crowds who would actually turn up and vote.

And the competition was fierce. Liverpool, Manchester and Leeds aren’t short of live music. Every marketing pound had to work triple duty: generate hype, fill venues and drive charity donations.
